  • Notification of Planning Application

    The Parish Council has received notification of a planning application for Land At The Rear Of 120 The Street, Kettlestone, NR21 0AU reference PU/25/2201. The deadline for comments from the Parish Council is 12 November.

    The Parish Councillors are arranging to meet in public in the Village Hall at 6 pm on Monday 3 November to consider the proposal and to decide on the response that the Parish Council will make.  The architect, John Dickie, will be in attendance to answers questions about the proposal. Members of the public are welcome to attend to express their views.

    Please note that the application is for “Prior Approval of a Permitted Development” (not a full planning application). North Norfolk District Council, as the Planning Authority, are now conducting a Consultation and the Parish Council, as a statutory consultee, has been invited to submit comments as to whether it would support the proposed conversion or not.

  • Woodson Homes – information meeting 28 February 2023

    Woodson Homes, the developer of the Church Farm barns site, has kindly agreed to meet with villagers to discuss their plans for the development and to answer any questions.

    Everyone is welcome to attend this meeting in the village hall on Tuesday 28th February at 11.30 am.

    Open Meeting to View the Plans for Church Farm and East Barns

    The Parish Council has arranged for the development and architect to come to the Village to answer questions about the proposed plans for eight dwellings on the site.

  • Notification of retrospective planning application

    You may be interested in the planning application at land adjacent to 7 The Street, Kettlestone  – Temporary siting of mobile home for use as a dwelling to allow for the re-establishment of small holding (retrospective) – (planning reference PF/17/1870).   • Notification of a planning application at Church Farm and East Barns

    Planning Applications for change of use from light industrial to residential at Church Farm Barn and East Barn, Little Snoring Road, Kettlestone

    Prior approval is part of the new legislation (General Permitted Development Order 2016 Schedule 2 Class PA) under which applicants can apply for prior approval for change of use from B1 (light industrial) to C (residential) before putting in a full planning application for the design etc. of the residential dwelling/s. The Planning Authority assesses the prior application against criteria in four areas: B1 use (the applicant has to provide evidence that the building was used for light industrial use); transport and highways; contamination; flood risk.

    If prior approval is granted there would still need to be a full planning application (with the usual consultations). The development would have to be on the footprint of the existing buildings. The new rules override the Local Development Framework criteria for no development in the ‘countryside’ area of Kettlestone.
